Teele Square and the Property of the Week: 30 Garrison Avenue, Somerville

Teele Square SignThis afternoon I did an informal survey at my office, “What’s your favorite thing about Teele Square?”

– “Rudy’s! The big strawberry margarita is the best!”

– “The Tibetan place is good, too. [House of Tibet Kitchen] Delicious potatoes.”

– “I really like PJ Ryan’s. We went there Halloween night.”

– “GURU!” [Guru the Caterer – they have a very vociferous following!]

– “I heard there’s a new vegan cafe going in on the corner.” [True Bistro Vegan Food and Drink]

All great suggestions. And then there was the aside, “I don’t really go to Teele…”

Oh, Teele Square, always in Davis Square’s shadow. Okay, so there’s no T stop in Teele, but there are a number of great restaurants, shops, and neighborhood spots (a convenience store, laundromat, Rainbow Carpet etc.) Not to mention that Teele Square is more residential than Davis Square and has its own vibrant center (while being an easy walk to Davis or Tufts).

This week’s Property of the Week is actually 3 properties – 3 newly renovated condominiums in a new 3-family conversion at 30 Garrison Avenue in Teele Square.

30 Garrison Avenue #1, #2 and #3 ($399,000 – $439,000) are each 3-bedroom, 2-bath units with new kitchens and baths, expansive open-plan layouts (the top floor features great views and skylights), original detail including gleaming hardwood floors and classic moulding, and enclosed front porches/sunrooms that on a bright fall day are lovely to sit out on and read or watch the comings and goings on the street… (Yes, I’ve spent some afternoons here and it’s great!) Oh – and there’s parking and a shared yard.

30 Garrison Avenue #1, #2 and #3 are offered by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, exclusive listing agent Lenore Hill, MLS #71152397, #71141064 and #71141065. For more information on these properties, please feel free to Contact Me. I’ll be hosting an Open House Sunday, November 14th from 12:00 – 1:30 PM. Hope to see you there!
